Acclaim
"Tight ...like... stockings on a horse"
- Bumble non-date
"Inventive and intricate yet somehow still simple and punk. Nice balancing act!"
- A lifesize gorgeous coctail
"Easily one of the most sizzling bands east of the Housatonic"
- Drummer's cousin
"Your new raw sound is reminiscent of late 70's underground British punk sound, especially that band 999.
Slam/ thrush. An interesting come back if there is an audience and market for it hopefully . Nevertheless a sure shot at whatever your purpose. A forward spin energetic..."

Discount Fireworks is an exercise in auditory interdependence. Jeff Maleri (bass) and Ben Myers (drums) resuscitate and evolve melodies that have long haunted Joe Sepi. Sepi offers heart on his sleeve vocals and a signature post-punk, no wave guitar sensibility. Maleri’s bass stylings are soulful, blues-infused and entrancing. Myers' inventive and pounding post-rock percussion tethers his bandmates. What emerges is a trio that effortlessly travels time signatures and invites negative space. What emerges is a kind of cerebral rock that feels both familiar and new.
Members have shared bills with Mission of Burma, Modest Mouse, Deerhoof, Built to Spill, Richard Lloyd, Grant Hart, The Thermals, Pile, Speedy Ortiz, SAVAK and more...
